For bird watchers, many species of birds are only found in the south end of London because of the many retention ponds and manmade lakes. Robins are seen from spring to late fall. Other birds we have photographed are Canada geese, Mallard ducks, red finches, yellow finches, juncos, woodpeckers, northern flickers, hummingbirds, tree swallows, evening grosbeaks, hawks, blue herons, chickadees, blue jays, mourning doves, red winged blackbirds, etc. |
